DSA Application
In Zhenghua Secondary, we envision every student in the school to be a Principled and Future-Ready Leader. We create ample opportunities for our students to develop their leadership competencies and take on leadership roles through CCA and other school signature programmes. Students who join us through DSA will have the opportunities to further develop their talent areas under the guidance of our dedicated teachers, experienced instructors, and enjoy the camaraderie of committed peers. Prospective students can also look forward to representing the school in competitions, performances and overseas trips.
Talent areas offered
Zhenghua welcomes promising Primary 6 students with strong leadership attributes and of exemplary conduct to participate in the school’s 2023 Direct School Admission (DSA) exercise for admission to the 2024 Secondary One intake.
Zhenghua will be offering DSA places for boys and girls in the following talent areas:

DSA Selection Criteria and Process
In general, we are looking for students who are passionate, positive and have the potential to excel in their respective talent areas to join the school.

Please note that meeting all the criteria does not guarantee the student will be shortlisted/given an offer.
DSA-Sec Application Process:
Application for DSA-Sec can be submitted through the online DSA-Sec Portal. The application is free-of-charge and will be open from 4 May 2023, 11am to 31 May 2023, 3pm.

Below is the brief timeline for the whole application process.

| Jan to May | Parents and students explore preferred schools for DSA. |
| Thursday, 4 May 2023 to Wednesday 31 May 2023 | Submission of your child’s application online through the DSA-Sec Portal by 3pm on Wednesday, 31 May 2023. |
| Late Jun to mid Sep | Applicants are to attend interview and selection session conducted by the school. We will inform all applicants their interview and selection dates once we process all the applications. All applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application after the interview and selection. Selected students will receive DSA-Sec offers directly from schools by mid September. |
| Late Oct | Applicants to choose up to 3 school choices in order of preference via the DSA-Sec portal. |
| Late Nov | Applicants will receive school allocation along with PSLE results. |
Parents and students are encouraged to choose schools wisely based on the student’s aptitudes and strengths, bearing in mind the schools’ academic and non-academic requirements, and the programmes available to develop the area of talent.
Students who are successfully admitted to the school via DSA are expected to honour their commitment to the school, and participate in the activities related to the talent they are selected for from year 1-4.
